SJSE Teacher One of Top 5 Teachers in County
Mrs. Armstrong, 2013-2014 Teacher of the Year, Earns Place in Top Five for Charleston County Teacher of the Year
In a surprise announcement at school April 4th, first-grade teacher Emma Armstrong learned that she is one of the top five teachers in Charleston County School District's Teacher of the Year Award. Mrs. Armstrong along with her students was greeted by former students and the entire school when district personnel made their in-person announcement in front of the school. The winner will receive a complimentary one-year lease on a Mini Cooper. Good Luck Mrs. Armstrong!

Students from child development through second grade made a March trip to see the circus. They learned about circus animals and had a fantastic time with their teachers and chaperones.

St. James-Santee Elementary School GIVES!

Students, faculty and members of the community worked together to share the meaning of the holidays by collecting toys, games and books for patients at MUSC Children's Hospital. Students made their special delivery to the hospital December 18th.

Greetings St. James-Santee family! I am excited to be a part of this wonderful school community where literacy will continue to be our top priority, and I will work to continue the strong academic traditions that have been in place at our school. Our goal is for every student who walks through our doors to get the best education possible. We are continuously looking for better ways to build on our already strong partnerships with parents and community stakeholders. These partnerships between SJSE and our school community will be the recipe for great academic success for our students.
